however the 0-60 run shouldn't be an issue at all

Wow that would be awesome man thank you!
I'm shopping for an E70 X5 right now and I'm trying to decide between a 50i and a 35i. I currently drive a 335i so I'm afraid if I get the X5 35i I'll miss the power too much. If this tune (plus maybe a downpipe) can get the 0-60 down to 5.5 or so (about the same as a stock 328i) I think that would be quick enough to make me pull the trigger. Gas mileage and purchase price aren't much of a factor for me in making my decision. I'm more concerned about reliability and from what I've read the N55 is just more reliable. Not to mention it's the engine I have now and it hasn't had any issues (except for a blown charge pipe). |

However, I can give you some feedback since I used to own (2) 335i's and they were both FBOs. Personally, I felt being in a car was faster than the E70 which I'm not sure if being lowered to the ground gave me that "impression". 50i is a beast compared to the 35i but the 35i is faster than a 328i hands down. Stock is just like the same as far as power band wise which is 300/300 hp/tq. Stock specs should help you see that from just researching that when it comes down to the stock 0-60. I've ran a 335i and beat him with a fair amount between us and I'm on 22"s ha. Granted I don't know what he was running besides a JB4 G5 ISO. So I'm assuming we are both stock minus the tunes.

This sounds very promising. However, now I have to learn about a "Bench Flash" and make sure I don't brick my wife's DD.
Honestly, I think the 35i engine provides sufficient power. I'll never turn down more power, however. I think the power delivery is very lacking though. I also don't think it's well mated to the shift points on the 8spd transmission. If this improves all of those things, it will be well worth it. |

Found my tablet charger and re-flashed to the new version of stage 1 and I've talked with MHD on the e90post since I noticed a difference.
Former flash had a sharper pedal remap vs. the current which is more OEM like. I wish I would've did some comparisons of the 0-60. If I can I'll do so to give my input but I feel the newer flash has some turbo lag at the beginning of taking off which wasn't there on the former flash

Regarding the lag we both noticed from the v.18 vs. v.20 I'm hoping as I asked on the forum there will be an option for an aggressive pedal remap. I haven't done any WOT on the new version just yet. Hopefully the more torque will suffice the turbo lag at the initial. Feedback stated it's more DD friendly which I can see since it's close to OEM

yeas that pedal map would be nice. i haven't driven enough. they had that liner throttle map option on the n54, don't see that carried over here, hope they bring that out. |

But yeah I didn't see the liner option as the N54 mentioned so you might be correct. Hopefully that option plus the pedal map option can be added for future use. I did however, enable the burble for D and S mode to provide if someone is curious on how the X5 sounds.

Update regarding pedal mapping flash as an option: Per MDH, "for now, we focus on maps and tuning tables. Pedal mapping as flash options, later."

Did MHD or Justin give you an update on "why" this error is being given? Solutions perhaps?

Hahaha I shall, I wish I was on the original flash still because that throttle mapping was aggressive which I enjoyed. Yet I do feel more torque in the mid-high RMPs though. I've made a few cars upset when I went back home to visit family

When I removed bms and went to 18, I was a bit disappointed lol. Felt like less torque midrange. But seems like they are improving power on every release |

After doing some research I discovered that the FMIC on the E70 35i is MUCH BIGGER than the FMIC on say a 335i. It's even close to the size of the upgraded FMIC that COBB recommends. Here's a comparison. Stock E70 X5 35i FMIC Stock E90 335i FMIC COBB upgraded N55 FMIC I wonder if it is safe to run the Stage 1+ on the E70 35i stock because of this? |
