need some suggestions
Quote:
I have a 2013 Bmw x6 4.4L and I am looking into trying to bring out th best in it by doing modifications. I have been looking around trying to figure out exactly what I want to have done and what to buy but I'm having a hard time I don't know much about this stuff but would really like to learn. I have been looking up tuner kits to increase horse power and torque, also trying to find either a cold air intake system for the turbo or like an air box, really my goal is to optimize the performance and engine to be the best possible. if you have any suggestions or could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. my email is shaqcox32@gmail.com thanks in advance! |

My personal daily driver is an X5, we've been tuning this car for a long time!
https://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=763955 Check us out, software for the X5/X6 35i 50i and X5M is available. Takes about 10 minutes to flash and there are vehicles using our software for 8+ years on this platform, including vehicles with upgraded turbos with nothing but extra smiles |

Every time i have done my X5M and my friends X6M its taken an hour and a bit to read the file and around 15-20 mins to write back the tuned file. This is of course Gintani and TTFS tunes and cable.

I hate reading and writing to this DME when it's in the car, too long. Is there any special instructions for the reading? One of the tuners told me to have the seatbelt clipped in and hazards going too.

I have a Sprint Booster and a BMS stage 1, and I am quite happy with this set-up too. I don't drive the car much though but when ever I do, it does get rid of the low end bog, where it has so much lag .
it feels like a different animal now all this while being reliable as well. I think BMW stage 1 pushes it to 50-60 HP/50-70 TQ, enough to make you grin |

I'm curious who does custom tunes for these though. 22RPD is close to me but I don't know if he'll touch it. A custom tune is something I'll want post S63TU manifold and turbo swap since I'm currently only boosting to like 9psi from bad turbos. Either way I'll be keeping the JB4 for logging and meth control.
