Thanks, the part numbers just look up on realOEM.com, for all 4 rotors buy the F85 rotors, I think the older style e70 M rotors required rear hub change to fit. The F85 rotors fit the E70 standard hubs just fine.
You'll also want to upgrade your dust shield, the standard E70 M shields will work just fine. Also you will want to buy the Stainless steel M brake lines front and rears as well. |

Nice setup! Well done.
I'm looking at the "space" between the Caliper and the Wheel,...and I can tell you that on the E70,...there is only about a 3/8" gap or so. This setup clearly has loads of space between the caliper and the wheel. Thanks for sharing...

The rotors fit nicely with the wheels. It really bugs me to see huge wheels with small rotors.
I see that the newer X5M has a decal sticker on the caliper. I've been wanting to had some type of sticker to mine. Unfortunately the e70 X5Ms calipers are plain. Has anybody add a decal to their? |

So the F85 X5M rotors fit on the E70 X5M without any modifications?

I wonder if the rear F85 rotors fit on the X5M without modifications...I would think they would fit without any mods on the E70 M

Again not sure, I know some have done it just not sure if they had to modify it. From what I remember if I wanted to put e70M rotors on my e70 I had to enlarge the rear hole on the rotor. On the f85 rotors it slips right on without having to enlarge the hole. So I think the f85 rotors hub hole is bigger than the e70M meaning you'd need to center it with the lugs or with a hub spacer somehow. Again need someone who has done this to chime in. I only know what I did with mine and it's not an M and was direct bolt on. |

Ok just so I have this straight, you used F85 rotors front and rear with E70 X5M calipers and pads front and rear? I just bought a set of calipers and looking to install soon. They’ll need some cleaning up and a rebuild to be safe.

So if anybody who has just the front calipers wants to do the full front and rear all they will need is the rear caliper carriers off the M and they can reuse their stock rear non M calipers. Same part just the M one comes painted from the factory. Otherwise it's just plug and play. Will also need the brake lines which I bought the ECS braided lines as they where pretty cheap. Also you will want the dust covers as well. |

I checked the price on the f85 front rotors and they are $900 each!! They do look nice but I’m not sure if they will be noticeably better than the x5m stock rotor.

Try BMW Parts Now: https://www.bmwpartsnow.com/
Got all 4 of the F85 Rotors (fronts and rears) for just over $1000, and their service was GREAT!

I'd like to add this to the OEM+ list for my 35d. After researching numerous threads, I was hoping someone could just verify the following as no one has really given a part number breakdown of all parts needed.
Parts Needed: E70 X5M Front Calipers (L) - 34116789341 E70 X5M Front Calipers (R) - 34116789342 E70 X5M Rear Calipers (L) - 34216789349 E70 X5M Rear Calipers (R) - 34216789350 E70 X5M Rear Carriers (2) - 34216789351 SS Brake Lines - 002565ECS01AKT2 F85 Front Rotor Set Screws (2) - 34111123072 F85 Rear Dust Shields (2) - 34216857982 F85 Front Rotors - 34112284901KT F85 Rear Rotors - 34212284904KT OEM Brake Fluid - 81220142155 (or any alternative) E70 X5M Rear Carriers - 34216789351 or is it 34217847226? to clear the F85 rotors?

Does anyone have any info on where I can get the square o-rings to rebuild the front Brembo calipers. I bought a repair kit from ECS (ES#242317 or P/N 34216780515) but it only comes with the dust boots and no o-rings. When I called ECS and BMW both told me they cannot get the o-rings separately. The only kit I've found that contains these square o-rings is a repair kit for the rear calipers (ES#59823 or P/N 34116763995). Any info on where I can get these square o-rings would be much appreciated.
