True, true. I personally won't keep mine the second warranty runs out. I have a 2011 with 55K miles, and the A/C evaporator core just went out. Supposedly a very expensive fix, but covered under warranty. My buddy had to pay $4K out of pocket for it.

The car is back and running good.
Here is a peek of the warranty have on the deal with 30 days cancellation. I paid $3000 for the Premium 4yrs/50k miles. Also I need to buy at least 2 front tire to match the rear one has front and rears are different brand, that cause the transfer case failed, as we discussed before. front, Maytag and Achilles desert hawk on the rear. The rear are newest that the front so Im trying to finde two front 275/40R/20 but tire track doesn't have them. I found them here and they are the match for the rear ones. Same Diameter 728mm. 275/40R20 106XL V8.1mm 728mm 278mm 9J, 9½J, 10J, 10½J, 315/35R20 110XL V8.7mm 728mm 320mm 10½J, 11J, 11½J, 12J, 12½J http://www.achillesradial.com/en/tir...rt-hawk-uhp-11 This is the Premium warranty + optional coverage for: Technology Group 4 wheel drive coverage Turbocharger

Is Achilles that bad? I mean I know Bridgestones and Continentals are better, but as they are new tires, I'm trying to wear them first and just buy 2 front now that will be cheaper than buying a set of 4 having 2 new tires already. I don't care about feeling or noise for now I just need them to be the same diameter to prevent any other failure.

On July 4th, I noticed that I had a bubble on my front left tire. Since I was in the middle of a road trip and have hundreds of miles left to travel, I was not about to risk a blowout. The tire that had a bubble was an OEM Bridgestone tire. I called around, and the only place that had something in the same size was over an hour away and it was at NTB. The tire, same size as OEM, was a Sumitomo tire. Drives just fine, but now that you're talking about your transfer case going back due to have tires from a different brand, I'm wondering if I should hurry up and swap it back to an OEM Bridgestone.

I mean, although I have one Bridgestone and one Sumitomo in the front, the X5 drives perfect. NTB did scuff my front wheel though

Yea, I don't know either if it is the cause or no and I don't know the outside diameter either, so I bought the match one for my front.

But I'm with you on this at the same time. A small difference in rolling diameter would seem unlikely to grenade a transfer case to me. Isn't the rule of thumb 5% is allowable? |

Any decent tire will give you the rotations per mile spec , using that information along with tire size should get you where you need to be.
