I've bottomed out my 1.2 setup. If you have bad roads and hit dips or bumps hard then it'll happen. You may not be able to differentiate bottoming out from normal ride.

Yes, only happens when hitting a bad bump or something in the road. |

1.2 is PERFECT. I love the ride quality and the cherry on top is that car guys will say it looks slammed and non car guys ask "is that lowered?" It's the best of both worlds. The aesthetic of lowered and that amazing "M" stance like in the M3/M4 |

I did the Dinan bump stops with my 1.2” drop. The are a little shorter and help keep from bottoming out.

Well I cancelled my order of the springs and may just go with the KW setup since my car has 81k on it and i feel as if the shocks may get worn out super quick. Since the stock fronts are about 1200 a piece i can justify spending the 3k for KW for a new suspension

Shocks won't wear out any faster on a 1.2 drop. They get worn out when they bottom out frequently without bumpstops (which wouldn't apply to a properly installed setup). |

Anyone have a diagram of how to measure the rear links? Kit should be here sometime today and I want to be prepared. I've done plenty of research and it seems like 65mm is "recommended" and 67mm is what most go with to sort out the ride. I've also read somewhere that TheVazha went with 66mm and found a happy medium between the stance and drivability. I'm gonna try my luck with 66mm at first but curious if anyone can go into detail about how to measure them (I have a Vernier caliper ready), preferably with pictures. TIA |

On any type of monoball or clevis the measurement is typically taken from center to center. So on the suspension link you'd measure from the center of the ball to the other ball center. The kit has a diagram to help with visualizing the measurements. No need to overcomplicate- you'll likely adjust it on car anyway to get the ride you want.
I too started off at 65mm but that was just a starter for me as it rode like garbage. I ended up a few mm longer and visually the truck is about level with maybe a slight rake. |

The biggest thing that made me change my mind was the fact that i have 81k on my car and the price for replacement shocks. I only found OEM replacement shocks and those were for $1200 each. I figured by the time i reach 100k ill need to replace the shocks unless the shocks on these cars are strong and last longer and with me most likely hitting that by the end of 2018 i thought maybe a full coil over replacement would work. Also I was speaking with someone who brought up these points about it and i would say I'm kind of influenced. Maybe doing springs is the right way but i always thought they would wear out the shocks super fast. I have not bought the coilovers just yet but i cancelled my spring orders already. I guess you could say im still contemplating. |

My Truck is in the shop and would like to go with springs but don't want the truck feeling bouncy.

I've been running the 2' drop springs for over a year now and have 100k miles and haven't experienced any issues.
My height is 29.5' front / 30' rear and I get no bouncing anything lower in the rear and there is considerable bounce. I also plan on going to BC coilovers once my shocks go out |

The Dinan's with the bumpstop kit sound like a great option. Any more people using those?

I will never put H&R on any of my personal vehicles and will always recommend other makes to my customers. They are horrible! My back breaks every time i drive my Golf R that has H&R springs and my customers complained about similar things. Once we switched the springs out with other makes like Dinan etc the car completely changed and the ride was transformed for the positive. So i'd rather get dinan for the better ride.

Pretty happy with my Vogtland springs. Running 30.5” front and 30.125” in the rear. Car is pretty flat from a stance perspective. Once I cut the bump stops in the rear, ride seemed much better when loaded.
When you actually see how much shock travel is allowed in the rear, it’s not much and I would venture to bet many are riding the bump stops causing ride issues. |
