Funny that on this site, people are disappointed when BMW sales are up. Must be the same people that always states: "This is the end of BMW."
I think it's time to appreciate what BMW is doing and that it's working. Realize that the world is changing and so is automotive design... which BMW is leading once again, imo. |

I don't know if it's about the looks, but this remind me about the last period of times when BMW won global sales, they were Bangle's era all the wild designs.

I can echo others comments here on BMW's excellent dealer experience. (Sales and service)
BMW definitely puts a lot of focus in this area and it shows. Service has always been seamless and very little BS from the sales team for the two M cars I've purchased.

Little doubt many here are very disappointed about BMW's successful run of late. They won't admit it but they are and I get it as people like to feel that their opinions matter. Unfortunately the continued success of the brand is proof of how irrelevant internet enthusiast opinions are in the big picture. You can post 100x how gastly you think a grille looks but the reality is that your opinion doesn't really matter. The older a person gets, the more difficult it is to accept change and I feel there's a lot of old timers that have a difficult time accepting their views are a little out of date. I'm getting up there as a middle aged adult but I put a lot of effort into keeping an open mind as I don't care to wallow in negativity and I don't want to turn into the stereotypical old man yelling at clouds.

You can't infer anything from those sales figures relative to acceptance of the 4-series grilles. The numbers are just way too small in the general scheme of things, and always have been. It's like saying the new 2-series door handles will be the end of BMW as we know it, while they proliferate to the 4-series GC and the i4.

I bet the 4 would be down compared to its predecessor. I am looking for a 5 door sedan, and my options are the 4 gran coupe or the Audi A5. I would have picked the 4 hands down, had it not been the grill, now I must admit the A5 looks so much better. |
