Where's the peak torque for the N52 before adding this kit? 2000rpm? A lot of crew try these down here due to ease of installation, but usually swap them out shortly after for traditional displacement blowers or go to the effort of turbocharging with predictable results. Not trolling, just wasn't sure what you were expecting with this kit - sounds like you're aware of the amount of performance this will potentially add, and I stand by my comment.

Update provided in main / original post. I am unsure as to the best mode of providing updates (e.g. as reply in the thread or as an amendment to the original post). Irrespective, enjoy the images!

Looking good! I'm eager to see it with everything on. Have you looked at quad exhaust? I think there is only one company that makes it for this car, but I'm sure it's possible to just fabricate tips. That way you can get rid of the matte black inserts. Maybe headers too?

4.18.17: **UPDATE**
I posted the identical message in the opening post, but for those who skip to the end of a build journal to review the latest, here you go... At long last, the paint and body work phase of the build is complete. The weather in Northern California has been abhorrent, and as such, I only have iPhone photos taken indoor, pre-detail, to showcase the work. The final product exceeded my expectations, which were lofty to begin with. To recap the work done: 1. Bumpers replaced and painted - all texture removed from polyurethane black components 2. Fenders repainted 3. Hood repainted 4. Upgraded OEM fender flares, de-texturized and painted 5. OEM aero kit, de-texturized and painted 6. Running boards de-texturized and painted; metal running board insert painted matte metallic grey-black 7. Door bump trim de-texturized and painted 8. Vehicle de-badged 9. Matte black front kidneys installed The vehicle was transported to GMP yesterday to begin the mechanical phase of the build. As we are still awaiting delivery of the KW V3s, we will begin with the supercharger and exhaust installations. I also received proof of life from Velos on the S2s (which like HRE, seemingly take an eon to manufacture). I have posted said image below as well. I suspect a 2-3 week cycle time to complete the balance of the project. I endeavor to get better pictures of the current state this week. Additionally, I will post Hi-Def sequential images of the paint and body work as soon as I have an opportunity to retrieve the files from the body shop. Getting closer. Patience is overrated!

Coming along really nicely! The paintwork brings it more inline with the LCI models, making those pre-LCI tails stand out even more. I know you said you were skipping those though.
Looking forward to seeing the BBK, KW's, and wheels! |

Looks great! I bet removing that texture was a PITA like you said...all those contours means a lot must have been done by hand. I'm pumped to hear how the SC goes!

Yes, the wheels are looking good, just 3 weeks delayed as of today, which dampens the excitement a bit. I'm optimistic that it will be completed soon, at which point I'll take some professional images and post them accordingly. I have been happily distracted with my GT3 build which is ironically, simple in comparison!

Yes, still skipping the LCI tails for now, especially given how long the project has taken. Once we complete Stage-I, I'll begin scoping out Stage-II, and LCI lights could very well happen! And thank you!

Apologies in advance for the grainy images, but here is a compelling before and after juxtaposition from the front of the vehicle. I am scheduled to take receipt of the high-def images chronicling the paint and body work this week. Enjoy!

Yep, the paint makes the aero kit look more natural too; seemless transition to the front lip.

My sentiments exactly! I thought about implementing the SC Schnitzer kit and find that the OEM is far slicker in comparison, less FATF so to speak...

ESS SC
All parts arrived this week (except the wheels, of course), importantly the ESS SC, which is pictured below. Engine bay tear-down began yesterday, as did exhaust fabrication. The targeted critical path is as follows: SC installation (I predict that the coolant reservoir will have to be relocated, as well as a few other minor components - this installation promises to be tricky), exhaust, coilovers, angel eyes, brakes, wheels. It is within the realm of possibility that all work will be completed within one week's time, but then again, we are already 3 weeks behind my original schedule. Closer yet...
