We already did long time ago, it is simply not available through the DirectFlash delivery platform yet. The ECU has to be sent in to one of our reprogramming centers. The DirectFlash unit can however be used for mapswitching or any ESS updates after the ECU is unlocked.

Our units are developed for our use, they contain especially developed firmware and hardware for ESS. Exactly like your BMW contains ECU hardware built by Bosch or Siemens to ordered spec, then it is programmed and calibrated by BMW for use in one particular model.

So, hypothetically, if you had a supercharged E90 M3 that already had the ECU reprogrammed you could use this to save your tune if it ever got reflashed.

No, on E9x M3 the ECU would be locked again if BMW reflashed it back to stock. You can however use it to switch between different ESS software.

and to Bt-M3 are you that hung up on who makes the unit and what material it's made from ?? If so stay tuned on the next episode on HOW IT'S MADE they gonna feature it ::sheesh::: Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure each tuner has it's own unique/specific way of writing/loading a file with it's own encrypted codes . Therefore its designed for ESS ..... Which is cool cause it looks like you can switch maps if needed ! |

Power is fantastic!! Loaded the map last night, so only got to drive it this am. Very smooth, and transforms what is already a beast into a fucking monster!
Your logic side of your brain keeps fighting the stimulus the car sends you that "I'm driving a four door version of my SC'd M3" then you are like, just hang on a f... ing minute, Im driving a 2350 kilogram tank!! But no mater how many times you try and rationalize with your self, you keep coming back to square one, which is no facking way LOL With the H & R spring and air lowing kit, this machine had defied its own identity crisis some more Cant wait for the catless downpipes to arrive from Super-sprint next week!! AJ sent me three maps: 1. OEM 2. ESS tune for catless downpipes 95RON 3. ESS tune for catless downpipes 100RON They were emailed and loaded into the Flash loader, and now I have all three maps to choose from whenever I want to change. Takes about 15 minutes to flash |
