Quick question, I've never removed the roundels on an X5...I removed them on all my previous 3 series before, is the hood roundel the same basic setup as a 3 series meaning I can simply pry it off with a credit card? As for the trunk roundel, there are 2 pins on the roundel that slide into place...besides applying masking/painters tape around the roundel for removal, do they come off fairly easy? I would hate to scratch the paint

It's not too bad to remove them. I would recommend a plastic pry tool. Front is easy enough, but the rear has tape securing it as well. You'll snap your credit card. You could also painters tape around it, then metal pry tool wrapped in micro fiber as well. Go slow.

I put the roundels on hold for the time being, met up with my buddy with my old M3 to try and fix the CF Vorsteiner hood which has now turned matte black Last edited by Cattivo; 03-26-2016 at 06:51 PM.. |

Just received the H&R lowering springs, gonna give these a try and see how the ride comfort is compared to stock...if it gets too bouncy or uncomfortable I'll go for a set of kw's

IND does excellent center caps. I had my Velos ones done by them. Monte Carlo blue and white with gloss clear. I'm sure they could figure something out for you guys. Will be $$$ though, so don't pass out. Custom is never cheap lol...

I really like your center caps, they came out perfect! I'm trying to get a set of blank BBS center caps from BaanVelgen and have them painted either MCB/CF or MCB/Silver from my Indy shop, if that don't work out I'll reach out to IND and see if they can come up with another solution...it's amazing what some of us will do for custom center caps
