all the pain and misery now only distant memory... i'm jealous - my 35i finished production 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for it to get on the boat to Hawaii. congrats, glina. now turn off the engine, get out of the car, and snap some photos already! |

Thanks guys.
I drove my car yesterday from Harriman Orange County, NY to Brooklyn then to Macungie PA for the weekend. Total of about 180 miles. This car is superior (Ultimate Driving Machine) It also gets a lot of attention from other drivers on the hgwy. Multicountour seats are very, very comfortable and the 3D navigation is just wow. I was driving home through Manhattan and you could see every building on the navi, even the unfinished Freedom Tower. Also, quality of the interior is just amazing. Until now I thought that my Q7's interior was the nicest and the best in quality, I guess I was wrong. BMW's interior is better in every way; leather, stitching and attention to the details is just unbelievable. My X is v6tt and with only 307hp car feels much faster, especially for a car this size. It feels faster than my old stock 350z. My mom has a 2007 fx45 v8 with 345 hp and is lighter than the X, I think; and my X feels wayyy faster. I'll post some pictures later on today. Firs, I have to wash it because it was raining yesterday while I was driving to PA and the car is dirty. Quote:

3d navigation?? I don't see that on my navi. I have hills and stuff but no buildings. What's this. Am I missing the setting for this? I'm in perspective view.

I also noticed yesterday that when you drive during the night and then make turn, left or right fog light will go on automatically and then will go off after you have straighten your steering wheel. If you make left turn then the left fog light will go on and if right then the right fog light. Same thing happens when you use turn signal. It allows you to better illuminate the side of the street while making the turn Thanks guys. I love the car. |

Probably is or was finished yesterday ,100%!!! Their system is 3-4 days behind. So if it tells you that the car already left the paint shop, that means that the car is finished.

I hope that's true
This means it's gonna be shipped this week or early next week? I checked your posts and it looks like you waited about 10 days from paint shop to delivery |

Your car should be at the dealer by next Wed if you are in NY. If you puash your dealer they can dig deeper and get more detail on ship location. Probably at the NJ port now which is where BMW installs some software. I'll wager Wed. If I'm right I geat to drive it for the first month right? Good luck!

March 31 -- I placed my order with the dealer.
April 11 -- I got my production number. (they had to swap an X5 allocation to an X6) May 6 -- I received notification that my X6 is at the dealership. May 7 -- taking delivery. About 5 weeks from order to delivery.
