Thinking of getting an X6M
Hey guys I have wondered over from the M3 forums in search of a new project. I currently own a 2010 M3 convertible and I am pondering the fact of trading it in for a X6M. I live in Souther California, Beverly/San Fernando Valley. Would any one here know a dealership that would have a white on in stock? Also what are your thoughts and opinions on the car overall? Below is a picture of my current car.

The X6 will be a radical change from what you own. do a serious test drive like up 5 or 14 ( don't think you can get up enough speed on ventura or 405).

With the shocked, impressed, interested, amazed, envious looks I get, you should do it.
The X6M does many things very well, and is easier to get in and out of than the 3 series. The trade in value of your car may hurt a little though. Private party sale may be a better choice. |

I am with landlord on this. I had a choice betweeen the new M3 and the X6M and I choose the X6M. This is coming from getting rid of an e46 M3 and test driving both. 8000 miles later and no regrets. But, I still say to go get a test drive first. Maybe try Century BMW in Alhambra.

I think a good way to describe it is that the M3 is a race car dressed in street cloth while the X6M is a street car with a racing suit. Very different cars, but both impressive.
Side info: Forgot to mention another vehicle I had test drove and really wanted to fall in love with was the Panamera 4S. But that vehicle failed to impress me. Especially at $135k. The Panamera felt dull....maybe I was expecting too much of the Porsche "911" lineage in it. While all the M cars I've driven all have the M thing flowing through the veins. |

Picking up a M3 next week I would say unless you need the extra space stay in your M3. My wifE aNd I will be going back again to pick up an X6 in the summer but I would keep your M3. Just my 2 cents.

With the power kit you get to chose OEM style exit mufflers or center exit mufflers like you saw in the video. BTW your M3vert is sick! |
