LED Angel Eyes available for 2011 X5?
Anyone know if there are any LED replacements for the new 2011s? I'm not sure if they are different that the previous versions.

Thanks Mike. Just went and got a set of Xenesis bulbs, we'll see how it turns out. I figure it won't be as bright as the LEDs but I just want it to be white and not have that yellow tint.

The 2011 X5 uses H8 bulbs for the angel eyes that same as the 2007+ 3 series coupe/convertible - take a look over at e90post.com as there are a million threads on which led h8 bulbs look the best and lot's of pics of different options.

Hello,
I have tried different type of LED bulbs but none of them can make the same brightness as the new 2011 3 and 5 series. I also talked to the bmw salesman, he said the new 3 and 5 series are using a different LEDs, That LED color is very bright, even though you look at it under the sunny day, that is close to like HID lol. Is it possible that you can take out the H8 bulb and show us how it looks like? I wonder if BMW uses their own special design LED bulb. Cause none of the aftermarket one can give that brightness. I have a 2011 740i and stock only comes with yellow Angel Eye. Just don't understand why BMW won't do that on their flagship 7 series. |

I just got the Lux H8's for my 2007 X5. Haven't had a chance to install them but will get to it this weekend. Not sure if they will fit the 2011's.

Give it a try, but I doubt that it will have the same brightness as the new 3 and 5 series. Those are extremely bright. During the day, I can see them far far away from my back mirror. All these after market bulbs manufacturer all saying their bulb is the brightest. Install it and try compare to one of the new 3 and 5 series, you will know what I mean. BTW, your Lux H8 is quite expensive according to that site. You can actually put the HID Kit for your Angel Eye and cost way less
