Congrats mate...very nice combo. My car is on the way and I have the same interior except I ordered dark bambo wood. Give us your impression of the new performance upgrade. Cheers

I drove everything but a M, that is the 3.5, the 5.0, and my 5.0 with the performance upgrade.

The X6 with a 3.5 is very big and heavy of a vehicle for such a small motor.

The standard 5.0 runs well but it does have some pretty noticeable turbo lag.

The 5.0 with the performance upgrade has a lot less but still some turbo lag.

The main difference is how much harder it pulls as RPM's grow. It is very noticeable.
In sport shift mode it is a beast.

As far as the full screen DVD there is a zoom function while playing the DVD.

I believe you push the idrive knob to the right to aceess it while playing the DVD, then go to display or other functions in that submenu to activate it and expand the screen.

It will full screen any wide formatted DVD to full and improve a 4:3 formatted (but not fully full screened).

As this is a 2010 iDrive, I am not sure a 2009 will do it, but my will.

You do have to reset this function everytime you restart your vehicle from my experience.

I am ordering a Video in Motion plug and play module soon & I will post the results.

Also have my steero gurus looking to bump the factory system up significantly. The problem is the door locations are very limited in this (and most ) BMW's.

I will be keeping all the factory integration and adding amp(s), speakers, & sub(s) in a steathy quality install.

Thanks for the kind remarks fellas.

Color is a very subjective thing, I love black too, but in Michigan it's really tough to keep up.

I will say in person the AW really shows the sharp lines of the vehicle, especially the aggressive side lines, very well.

This color is so easy to clean as white shows little in streaks and drying spots. A must for a car wash guy like me.

But man the brake dust comes on in a matter of a few miles!

Should have the Pirelli Scorpions on with my new 20's (wheels) by midweek.

I'm hoping it will still look tough with the Y-spokes.

Exclamation

Hi! very nice car. This is the exact combination i will be ordering next month for my X6.

i have just one problem and thus a question. I do NOT WANT the Anthracite Dark Grey roofline (ceiling colour). i prefer it to be in light colour. Now when u configure the car, and choose Oyster leather, you can see that the ceiling is also light colour. At least u can see it in the picture when u look at the side pillars of the car.

BUT here comes the problem. When u choose SPORT PACKAGE, it automatically selects the dark roofline and there is no option to change it back !! Has anyone here chosen Oyster interior WITHOUT sports package? i would like to know for sure if the interior rooflining is indeed light colour.

Looking forward to responses
