Maybe Audi in the future, depending on how good they're going to be and I think they have potential.

Imagine Andretti GM buys Alpine and grab Max as their driver.

Realistically Max stays RBR
Same here, MAX will remain as long as RB keep winning, his passion is to keep hauling up his win record.

FormulaPassion.it has received confirmation from reliable sources that Ferrari and Adrian Newey have been engaged in lengthy discussions, exploring potential contractual terms and arrangements for an early departure from Red Bull, including gardening leave.
Negotiations are progressing well, with cautious optimism for a favorable outcome.
Reports suggest that Newey's relationship with Red Bull has soured over time, with rumors indicating his decreasing fondness for the team.
In the past, Newey has declined offers to relocate to Maranello, opting to remain in England. However, now at the age of 65, joining Ferrari would mark the pinnacle of his remarkable Formula 1 career, which has seen him secure 12 constructors' titles with Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull, as well as 13 drivers' titles with various legends of the sport.
Ferrari is reportedly considering enticing Newey with a role as a technical supervisor or super consultant, granting him the freedom to unleash his creativity.
This offer would rival those from Aston Martin and Mercedes, who may leverage the proximity of their English factories.
Additionally, Ferrari is prepared to offer Newey a salary comparable to that of a top driver, potentially exceeding his current earnings at Red Bull, which are around $10 million annually.
As it stands, Ferrari appears to be the frontrunner in securing Newey's services, barring any unexpected developments.
VIA: [formulapassion.it]
He still has to confirm of what he's doing, media has been let off the leash with speculation.

65 YO Newey is ripe for retirement at end of the season, the usual retirement age but if the nonsense at RB Racing finally clears he may do another year there and call it a day before the planned heavy 50/50 rubbish cars come in.

At Red Bull they are surprised about all the Newey rumors ...
Newey has (still) a 2025 Red Bull contract but recently Newey is spotted at the Bologna airport , that's just 50 km (31 miles) from Maranello .
That's very strange indeed ...

On the other hand : Newey is 65 and can just retire .
Can be click bait , just like Horners sex-soap

Garage List
Aston Martin would be a nice home for him. He has history with the company in creating the fastest “road car” ever. He might also be tempted by other interesting projects as well. I would imagine that Lawrence could be rather persuasive. Plus there’s that Honda tie in coming in ‘26.

I doubt Ferrari is of interest.

Also BBC reports about Newey's departure.

"Newey’s contract with Red Bull lasts until the end of 2025 but he is said to believe he can negotiate an exit that allows him to work with another team from next season.
His desire to leave Red Bull was first reported by Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport, but the information has been independently verified by BBC Sport with high-level sources close to Red Bull and Newey.
They confirmed that his desire to leave stems from his unhappiness over the situation involving Horner, which has led to a multi-faceted power struggle at Red Bull.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/articles/cmm3v9ny78eo

If Helmut Marko goes domino, Verstappen will be donning a Mercedes suit in 2025.

This development could be an explanation why Sainz negotiations with Mercedes have stalled. Wolff is waiting to witness how the Red Bull Racing castle turns to sand. Getting Verstappen's signature will be the final blow for the demise or Red Bull Racing.

I wonder if the thai side of RB realise that Newey is more important to RBR than Horner....
A manager is more replaceable than a top designer.
At least, that's my opinion

Newey's situation is further complicated by the presence of non-compete clauses. Should Red Bull make him see out his deal, or allow him to leave early but then enforce that period of "gardening leave", it could be 2027 before he can start work with another team.
Newey will be 68 in 2027 and RB's Technical Director Pierre Waché is genius as well..

Enforceability of Newey's non-compete clause(s) depends on how it was worded (likely a contract between Newey's management company and RBR instead of with Newey personally). It can be renegotiated. Money talks, wealth whispers.

And if, further to some valid exit/escape clause, Newey can leave RBR by the end of this season no-strings-attached, RBR will no longer be able to use his services from that moment onwards, regardless Newey's future professional activities or retirement from the F1 world: Red Bull Racing will be left to its own devices.

Unlikely that RBR will consider 'gardening leave' for Newey - they want his assistance till the very last day of his contract.

A toxic can have a slow poisoning effect. Newey calls it a day. "Si tous les dégoutés s'en vont, il n'y a que les dégoutants qui restent.".

Yay RBR way to go full stupid and come up with the only way to potentially challenge their dominance through this rule set - self implosion!

Horner is a bit of a jackhole - always has been - but still like him better than Toto. But really all he needed to do at this point was not piss everyone off and keep the machine that he helped build rolling along smoothly. Instead he is doing his best to alienate their goat driver and goat designer. Perhaps he misread the room and sent them d!ck pics as well? There does seem to be a bit of alarm about their '26 PU - certainly has been plenty of smoke lately - so maybe the turmoil is just an opening of the door for them to position themselves for a cleaner exit. Either way Horner needs to knock this crap off so we can all just sit back and enjoy MV winning 98% of the remaining races through '25 without any drama. Then we can all get our AM gear on the way for '26 when VER ends up there with Honda and Newey and the next super team is born.

From some source:

After the forthcoming Miami Grand Prix, team Verstappen and team Mercedes are rumored to negotiate a possible contract starting from 2025 onwards. Helmut Marko may get a consultant role at Mercedes-AMG F1, as part of the deal. The meeting is supposed to allow Verstappen to make up his mind whether to bite the bullet/bull: stay at RBR or move to Mercedes-AMG from 2025 onwards. Verstappen would like to get reassured that Merc could produce an improved car for 2025, allowing him, combined with his excellent race skills, to compete for victories. Even if the Merc's performance would not be on par with the RBR car performance, the Max factor could help reducing the margin.

Rumored to attend: Max Verstappen, Raymond Vermeulen (his manager), Toto Wolff (Mercedes-AMG F1 team principal), Ola Källenius (Mercedes-Benz boss) and Jim Ratcliffe (INEOS boss - main sponsor).

These folks don't meet to discuss how good a pumpernickel tastes.

As I said : I'm pretty sure everything depends from Horners 2026 Ford PU .
Don't think a driver like MAX would like to drive with a Ford PU with a lack of power and reliability .
Just like the good old smoky Renault PU

Click bait is plague , that's a fact : The Internet today...

1- Newey to Ferrari , Newey spotted in Maranello (to give LEW a WDC car again and to beat MAX again)!
2- MAX and Newey to Aston (Lance Stroll will be fired , the son of the Aston team owner)!
3- MAX ,Newey and Marko to Mercedes (Wolff would be very happy with that)!
Feel free to make your choise !

Advice : Don't let them throw snake oil in your eyes ...

Verstappen with a lower performing 2025 Merc against a better performing 2025 Red Bull: would be interesting to witness what Max can squeeze out of the Merc machinery with his race skills and experience and the Mercedes armada having his back.

Also for the sake of F1, personally I'd favor a move of Verstappen from RBR to Merc. 2025 could be a transitional year for Verstappen and Merc with mixed podiums. By 2026, Mercedes could be dominating again with a rocket. Piloted by Verstappen, it could be annihilation times for the rest of the field.

Back in 2012 Niki Lauda convinced Hamilton to drive in 2013 for Mercedes (#5 WCC in 2012), leaving McLaren (#3 WCC in 2012). The rest is history.

Check what Niki Lauda said and think long-term: 2026 engine changes, when Honda no longer supplies the engine for Red Bull Racing + Mercedes possibly having successfully developed a new stellar 'rocket' engine by then, crushing the competition.

It’s not as if Newey would be departing because of a general malaise within the team, either; this is very much a personal issue based around the Christian Horner controversy regarding the employee who served as PA to both Horner and Newey.
Thank you Horner for breaking up Redbull!
