Cool Down Fan Not Staying On After Shutdown?
Guys,
I have a 13' X5M and I don't drive her as much these days as I work mostly from home. I've noticed that when I take the car out and return the fan doesn't seem to run after shutoff as it used to. I've verified the Aux Cooling pump is running and circulating the coolant to the turbos, but shouldn't the fan run for a little bit after shutoff? I'm not getting any codes, and is there anything I can check? Dave |

I think the electric radiator fan only runs after shutdown when the coolant temperature is quite high.
I don’t notice my fan running after shutdown except in the extreme summer heat

That's what I was wondering, if it was a coolant temp trigger. Any idea the temp at which it triggers to keep the fan on for cooling after shutdown as I can monitor it in Protools?
