E70 Strut Assemblies - Good Brand?
I just purchased a 2009 X5 3.0 Xdrive with the normal front suspension setup. The truck has 112k on it and is in really great shape and well taken care of. The rear air suspension was replaced by the previous owner. However, the front struts are starting to leak a little and I wanted to know if anyone has purchased the TRQ strut assemblies? They seem like a fairly reasonable price and relatively easy to install. Any experience with this product? Longevity, and ride quality?

I just installed sachs struts and didn’t like ride quality, looked at trq and a few others and after some reading I see that they are more economy focused and thus could reduce ride quality. I went with bilsteins and ordered mounts etc and have been very happy. If you go with trq just be mindful you may not get the same ride and the more you invest the better the outcome usually.

I ended up installing the TRQ and its super nice ride quality. No clunking or clicking when hitting bumps. Great bang for the buck. Hopefully they will last a while.
