Warning: are D2P suspension components any good?
I purchased a pair of D2P front control arms to replace my 150,000 mile 11 year old original parts
After 6 months / 6000 miles, I started getting a knocking / rattle over potholes, so started replacing other parts, like the drop links and shock strut toppers, but after a few months of trying to track the noise, I realised it was the (almost new) D2P arm ball joint By this time, it was 12 months and 2 weeks after the purchase, so when I contacted D2P, asking why they only last 6,000 miles when the original BMW parts lasted 150,000 miles, and this is the response I got: "Dear Customer, The parts that we supplied are not the original parts they are after-market parts. And as you can see we have sold many and we do not have any issues with this part. But you will also understand your purchased parts are out of warranty now so we cannot do anything in this case." Point 1: by their own admission above, they are not OEM quality Point 2: I'm not sure what comfort it is supposed to be that they have sold the same part to many other customers? Point 3: there is no good will, beyond their 12 month legal requirement to customers Here is the video I sent to D2P to show how bad the ball joint was: https://youtube.com/shorts/smJq52sqSlc My advice: buy the best quality parts you can afford
