12V inside the door for ambient lightning
Hi everybody,
I’m currently suffering to find 12V for wiring the ambient lightning controller, behind the door panel. It seems like everything is powered with only 5V. Puddle light wiring shows 12 Volta, but only if the door is open. Any ideas? Otherwise I need to pull a wire from inside the car to the inside of the door… |

Check WDS I would say, I have BMW software, but no WDS so I could not check it for u.
If there is a 12v light in the door, there should be 12v someware. I guess that the heated mirror and the window motors also use 12v, because they use quite an amount of power. |

For constant 12V use a fuse adapter and route it from fuse F10 (5A) in passenger side fusebox.
Not sure you’ll find 12V in the doors. More details here: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=29884558
