Catted DP would definitely sound good but I'd assume it would sound even better with the pure turbos
Anyone look into the new GTX turbos as shown by RK autoworks? https://www.rkautowerks.com/index.ph...x3076r-turbos/

From what I heard and read in 100 different places, IMO, the stage 1 pure tubos upgrade wasn't as awesome and awe inspiring as the stage 2. Not that I'm talking it up, but for the money your coughing up for stage 1 to get a little bit of an upgrade vs stage 2 which seems like much more bang for the buck.

Agreed. I was also told my Active Autoworke that the pure stage 1 turbos don't have that much lifetime and burn out quicker. |

im getting a little annoyed from issues finding parts for this engine rebuild. is 12 years old too old? just the 41 replacement m8x20 oil pan bolts @ 2.26 on bimmerworld.com were the best i could find since bmw discontinued them. im using realoem.com for schematics and part numbers, then searching bmwpartshub.com, fcpeuro.com, ecstuning.com, and eeuroparts.com.
sorry, i just wanted to whine/complain. (good ol' M tax) even these fuel injectors at $435 each x 8. lol i better get another job

When and where did you buy your index 12s? I'm shopping them out the past few weeks and you would think they were made of gold at these prices. |

yeh u got good pricing compared to the insanity today. ECS is one of the higher ones at $539 each.
maybe its cause its made in Italy and the EURO went down significantly, I think its 1:1 with the US dollar at this point https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...h/13538616079/ best i found so far was $431.68 at https://www.bmwpartshub.com/oem-part...30-13538616079

Im starting to see a trend that Pure Turbos has no real gains. This is another post that someone invested the $5k and got almost nothing out of it.
Dawgz pure stage 2 couldn't get him over 510whp. "Maybe it was my transmission, I don't know. I had it up to 18-20psi." - this is really concerning for anyone that really buys into their claims.. Now, this is shocking, I and someone really smart offered to give flow data on these turbos, and real gains, if they work, and no reply from Pure Turbos, nothing, radio silent. You could be literally paying 5k for them to machine the turbos and about 100 bucks worth of parts.. Be careful of anyone buying into turbo upgrades, so far the data shows that it doesn't produce much unless you do other important upgrades. |
