2010 X6 Radio Problem
The CIC system is not working.
I replaced the CIC main unit with a known good unit and still the same symptoms. Turn the car on and nothing happens CD changer in the glove box gets power I checked the fuses in the trunk and everything appears ok What else can I check? |

The replacement cic- hard drive/nav/dvd unit you obtained was 'exactly' the same part number, programming and coding as your car?
The vin number from the donor car matched exactly your vin options? assuming you had it all programmed or did it yourself, at minimum, it should power up and mostly work, even if none of the options work (nav, sound, reverse cam etc) What was the actual diagnosis code ista gave? IMO I've only ended up dumping the whole unit a few times, mostly it was something else in the trunk that got wet and fried. What was the MOST link stating the number of devices recognized as 'on'? Did the number match the number of devices you have? Did you check the fuses to radio? Any noises at all at cic-? Sounds like a power issue, but ista would see that immediately.? |
