Recommendation for downpipes on e71 x6m
Hello everyone!
I need recommendation on which downpipe to install on 2012 e71 x6m. I already have velos stage 1 installed and wanted to upgrade to stage 2 but velos told me i need to install downpipe before upgrading to stage 2. I prefer catted so I don't get check engine light on. Any recommendations from experience which downpipe catted to install and not crazy expensive. I saw vrsf for $500 and active for 3k which is a bit out of my budget. Thank you all |

VRSF is perfectly fine. Active Autowerke is like Dinan... over-rated and pricey.

It looks like you're in NJ, so I assume passing emissions is important. AA states that their cats will not cause a CEL. Not sure if it's the same with VRSF. Some people who have installed the VRSF (catless) downpipes have had issues with fitment. The AA pipes fit well, but will require you to extend the post-cat O2 sensors a couple of inches. Those are some of the pros & cons of each.
