Installed mine and left it at lvl 5. Wow what a difference... the responsiveness is amazing, instant power! I'm actually really impressed and thinking I need one for the 335d now.

it's one of the first upgrades i do to every one of my cars that are drive by wire(which is nearly everything these days). i'm not sure why there are people that downplay the sprint boosters. true it doesn't change hp or torque but it changes the way you feel delivery in both N/A engines and turbo. completely changes the dynamics of driving your car. glad to hear positive responses |

From what I've read, the V2 only went to 5 as the most sensitive race mode, now the V3 goes to 9, adding more modes and higher sensitivity in terms of throttle response. They also cosmetically updated it, sleeker and smaller.

Installed mine tonight... Race 9 is just giggily. Throttle hop for days..you're either all in or off. Found a good setting was race 3 for me.

also, sprint booster will not effect anything with engine tune. it simply sends a signal to throttle bodies and controls the rate they open. it also gives you the ability to put in valet mode, fuel conservation or completely off, at the push of a button. i believe the new ones even have a theft mode that completely disables pedal if you wish. |

If I remember correctly, I believe you pinch the tabs on each side and it releases the front of the clip to slide connector off.
You should be able to look at new sprint booster connector that connect to pedal to see what kind of release mechanism it has. It will be a direct replica of OEM connector

Well don't do what I did and use needle nose, mine slid off and I bit through 2 wires, no now my car is in limp mode and I had to go order a new connector etc.
Pull the slack of the wire out from under the carpet, there is enough to pull the pedal out and get your fingers on it. You squeeze them and pull, that simple, but pull the slack up so you have some leverage. |
