E70 Airbag Recall
Greetings,
Saw this on the Internet today. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money...es/2811743002/ Apparently my car is affected. Recall is on the passenger side airbag. Build date is 07/2012, 2013 model year. Anyone else had the recall performed? |

Also in some states they will replace both driver and passenger sides in my case only driver side was replaced!

I did, got a free loaner too. Just an X3 but an 2018 model and made me appreciate the E70s dash as the new dash sucks and so do that cheap ass buttons and WTF on the gauges. The mood lighting is cool through. While they are doing yours, have em do your turbo water pump too on recall if you have a 50i

Yay, I went through this on my 2007 Ford Edge that we sold last year after acquiring our 2013 x5. That was a 2 year process as Ford didn't have parts yet but they did proactively put us in a rental for a few months while we waited.
On the Ford we received a letter. So far nothing on the BMW. I have checked the vin and it says it is affected so I guess I have to wait. |

Mine was done at purchase in another state, when I had it serviced here in TX they informed me that the passenger side wasn't done. It was replaced under B650218 Recall Passenger Air Bag, no charge...this was on receipt.
They obviously weren't familiar w the avinusa monitor. Shortly after pickup I noticed my usb stopped working. The cable (monitor side) got lost between the center console metal bracket and dash and the connector head kept the cable from pulling back out. It was a pita to pull out, but after partial disassembly got enough flex to pull out.
