Coilovers Re-Sale Value
Hi All,
Planning on trading in my 2013 E70 shortly. It currently has KW V3 coilovers and has since about 6,000 miles (56k now). Question is, is it worth paying to have them swapped with the OEM setup and trying to sell? Or am I better off trying to sell the stock setup and just leaving it? I don't exactly remember the original install cost, but it wasn't insignificant (maybe $600). Assuming the swap back would be similar. Any thoughts or experience with this type of situation? Thanks! Goes for any second hand suspension item for the most part. Got stung after buying a lightly used set of Koni Sports for my M3 with less than 2k miles on them. Thought I got a deal until one of the rear dampers was making loud clicking noises after installation. Long story short... had to replace it and no warranty coverage since I'm the second owner. A month later one of the front dampers broke and same situation. Ended up paying about 10% more than the cost of a new set. |
