E70 vs F15
I currently have a 2013 X5 but thinking about going with a newer model with warranty, etc. What do you guys think. We love the feel of the x5 better than any other SUV. So I assume the F15 is just as nice to drive. I am also looking at installing a hitch. Any advice or insight is appreciated. Also, if anyone would be interested in buying a 2013 X5, let me know. Thanks

No first hand experience but I've been told that the dynamic handling package is a 100% must on f15 otherwise the truck drives like a boat. I'm sure your looking CPO but the 2018 X3 M40i pricing just came out...maybe a lease? It can come with hitch from the factory...F15s can be around the same price used depending on the packages.

I find the F15 exterior styling to be very uninspiring and bland, absent of bold character lines. The side looks like a minivan. I still don't know what I will go into next. The interior is nice.

I feel the same way, the theirs details on the F15 that are nice but the sides lost that nice flared fenders and sculpture the e70 had.
Seems like they made it wider at the cost of making the sides flat. The interior is where it's at, much improved over the e70. |

Jandre - I don't recall where but I heard something similar. The new gen is said to have lost that fun sporty driver feel, which would be a deal breaker for me. Lots of other SUVs (SAV whatever) out there to choose from if its going to drive like an Exploder.
--> Would LOVE to get first hand feedback / comparison on the suspension/handling feel vs our e70... Especially vs my e70 50i MSport. Any f15 owners reading this? I searched on that forum too but found zero impressions. I also agree on the styling, I really didn't care for it at first. I see why the sides are flatter; they wanted to put that squarish indentation down the length between the wheel arches, to give it a family resemblance to other new models. Its been growing on me but still un-exciting from some angles. Only the sportiest trims would appeal to me. I very much would like the new X5 to continue the weight reduction that the f15 started... Give me some modern sporty styling back, maybe a nice engine with some efficiency (even hybrid?), reduced curb weight, and the proper handling I expect and I am there.
