||| Back With a Vengeance - Aznazasin's X6M Build Journal |||
Well…this is a bit unusual…I don’t think I’ve created a forum post in about 3 years since I sold my last project. Once my daughter started daycare, I got rid of the widebodied E60 M5…and now that she’s wrapping up preschool, we decided that it was time to pick up another project that suits us well.
Some of you may know me from back in the days, or perhaps you’ve seen posts of the M5 before. Either way, it’s good to finally be back in an "Old But New To Me" project. Here’s an old article on my previous ///M: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/b...11.html#agal_0 Last month, I picked up a Melbourne Red Metallic X6M on Sakhir Orange. Reminds me a lot of my first BMW due to the red on red color combo, which is actually why I pulled the trigger on this truck. Here’s an old photo of my Hellrot Red E46 on Tanin Red interior: Anyhow…it’s been quite a journey already since there were a handful of maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. Silly enough, I consider this Mod Money down the drain especially because there’s no extended warranty (Yet). Since my ownership began, I’ve replaced the following and added some goodies as well: - New Xenons bulbs - New OEM Battery (High Battery Drain message still shows!!) - Oil Change - New Power Steering Pump (Old one was making groaning/wining noises and cause fluid to spill from the reservoir top – causing Dynamic Mode Malfunction message as well) - Extended Warranty for 80K miles - Vorsteiner CF Race Splitter from Supreme Power - H&R 2” Springs from Auto Couture Motoring - 22” RSV Forged Wheels wrapped in 295/30 & 335/25 Pirellis More to come!!! Hope you guys like it so far. Once the other mods are installed (diffuser, downpipes, exhaust, tune, coilovers....), I’ll have a proper shoot done.

I'm a fan of yours as well. BTW, are those aftermarket intake scoops? they look like CF in your photos.

Not trying to be a smart-ass, but the video-clip of the exhaust sounds almost like our 6 cylinder after I manually jacked open the exhaust flap on the passenger side.
Coming from American v-8's my whole life, I can't comprehend why European v-8's always sound so.......4-cylinderish

I did get the issue fixed; it turns out, my eject button was stuck pressed in. The previous owner has spilled soda near the center console and it must've splattered some on the button. I was able to get it working again using a steamer. Thank you!! I'm anxious for the next set.

Much appreciated. It was DEFINITELY a PITA as I changed the battery thinking it would solve the issue.
