BMW X6 vs Porsche Cayenne vs Range Rover Sport - information from BMW
http://www.edbmw.com/blog/2008/01/21...e-rover-sport/
It looks like the BMW is kicking the competition's butt. I think the X6 will be truly a great car |

Finally... a BMW that will keep smoke the Cayenne! I had a Cayenne race me without knowing, it was fast. The funny thing is that I also drive a 3.0, but its not comparable to a Cayenne... losers.

I think i'll wait for some more objective data. Porsche's on website has the v6 cayenne running a 7.5, and i'm sure the mags can make it run even faster. Not to mention that you cant market the X6 as a sport activity coupe, making it vastly different than the X5 and then go after a porsche that's built on the same frame as a touareg.

Actually the technical specs from Porsche.co.uk show that the Cayenne 3.6 post a time for the manual of 8.1s 0-100km/h and 8.5s for the automatic. The BMW is 6.7s but is this for a manual or automatic.
Anyway here's the link to the Porsche website. http://www.porsche.com/uk/models/cay...turesandspecs/ |

Weird. The technical specs for the Cayenne V6 on porsche.com/usa show 7.5s 0-96km/h(0-60mph) and 7.8 for the auto.

Is the X6 really a competitor to the Cayenne? I'd figure the X5 suits the criteria more closely.

I heard some rumors on these forums a while back that Porsche will be fighting back with a "Cayenne Lite" or something like that. |
