100 Octane?
I searched other forums and most said it's useless to use high octane for an unmodified engine.
However, in my Area, NV/CA/AZ, all gas station only offers 91 Octane as the highest grade and no one carries 93 which is what M car needs. So my question is has anyone here used 100 octane and feel any difference? I would like to know since our turbo motor should benefit from higher octane especially for those can only get 91. Or I'm thinking to mix 100 octance and 91 to make to higher, hopefully it can make the car perform better.

You will see some performance benefit as the ECU will try to advance the timing with in its range of control if the octane supports it.
Since you have E85 out there you can run up to an E30 mix and see the same gains at a much lower price. |
