I'm really happy with the BBS SV setup for now. I really wanted a lip at first, but look at it! It is nearly as low, if not lower than any of the M cars parked next to it! ....so I went to VIR last weekend to participate in the BMW club event, only to be turned down (because SUV), although there was a VOLVO XC70 allowed on track.... go figure! Gixxer - did a photo shoot on the way to VIR. Rolling shots coming! |

Rated M Roadster compared his OEM wheels to his new 21" Forgestar CF10 wheels w/Michelin tires and came up with a total savings of 89.8lbs!
This made me curious, so I weighed my BBS wheels w/Pirellis. BBS SV weight savings over OEM M299: I came up with a difference of 40.6lbs combined unsprung weight for all four wheels and tires compared to the OEM setup Combined weight OEM M299 20" w/ Bridgestone RFT....82lbs front and 89.8lbs rear. Combined weight BBS SV 22" w/ Pirelli.......................75lbs front and 76lbs rear Combined weight Forgestar CF10 21" w/Michelin..........61.6lbs front and 65lbs rear Gixxer - Somewhat disappointed that his weight savings was not as significant as Rated M Roadster, but he did go from a 20" wheel to a 22" wheel... Gixxer's future mod list;
LED Headlights. Carbon Diffuser.. Carbon Lip... Downpipes.... I am attempting to accomplish one mod per month over the summer.... LED Headlights are pretty much a done deal. All parts have arrived. I'm simply waiting to get them installed and coded (should be done very soon). Which should I consider next; Carbon accessories or downpipes for additional power? |

Nice! Let me know if you are willing to sell your stock headlights after your led swap. Been thinking about doing a project with the lights, but need a second set.

He can do some stuff.
He does crazy retrofits. Quad projectors, proper angel eyes, painted housings, etc. Had a beast of a setup from him on my old M3 and I'm looking to do the same here. |

I now have a spare LED drivers headlight that has a hairline crack in the lower lens area... it came with a brand new replacement lens... I just couldn't figure how to separate the halves, so I ended up buying another complete LED headlight assembly. Anyone interested in repairing the headlight?

If I had known about Lightwerkz, I could have gotten them to replace the lens for me?

Caesar is a guru when it comes to all things lighting. I'm sure he'll be able to replace/repair the headlight.

Has anyone on here done this to their X5/M? I'd be interested in seeing their work first
