Newbe
New this forum and just wanted to introduce my self.
Past BMWs were Black 1999 M3... Best car I ever owned! Silver 2003 3.0 X5... traded in for a Toyota Tundra (to tow a trailer) down sized to current 2012 X5 50i ...should be up to the task, you can see my trailer in the background and its not very big. What is the best option with the M-Soprt package ? I have seen some threads about execu-hitch, recommendations? thanks |

I went from a Tundra to a 50i and was blown away at how well the X5 tows. It outperforms the Tundra, IMO.
Lots of threads on hitches. many prefer execuhitch. I went with Curt. Just don't do OEM and cut up your bumper. |

Well that is great news! I was thinking it would be worse, because X5 is smaller ( reason i bought the 50i is to tow) well that and it is a hoot to drive! , the trailer is only 1500lbs max...

I tow a boat with mine too, and even when loaded-down and pushing 5k pounds the X5 handles it with ease. |

Execuhitch employs Okee to do hitch coding remotely (coding fee is included in the price of the hitch), and bunch of other nice-to-haves (close trunk from remote, fogs on with high beams, etc). So, when pricing out Curt, make sure to account for -OEM wiring harness -Hitch Coding (zoom feature, etc) |

Ha ha ...ya the Tundra was a little over kill! Thanks, I like the idea of not seeing the reviver, I did not realize that you could remote code ...I assumed the dealer would have to dot it ... that is good news |

The list of freebie features available to be coded by Okee (in addition to hitch coding) is pretty extensive. That is what puts the price of Execuhitch/Invisihitch close to the price of Curt hitch. |
