Kinda funny to watch Bangle try to spin the coupe-as-SUV design as something revolutionary when the FX45, Cayenne, etc. have been out, what, four years already? Can't wait to see it nevertheless, although cargo space will be nonexistent given the profile of the fastback ... not that potential owners will mind.
For a high-profile designer, I would have expected Bangle to be a bit more fashionable and not such a big fan of Old Man Pants. |

The aspect of the X6 which is unique is the 'Coupe' lines... The Infiniti FX is a crossover, but does not have classic coupe lines. The cars that come to mind for me when you say 'Coupe' are the Mustang Fastback and Corvette Stingray Coupe:
You can see, the FX does not have that line... Though it tried to simulate it with the chrome outline of the window profile... The overall profile is still SUV... The new X6 most certainly has the lines of a classic Coupe: |

The lines of a classic four-door coupe, eh?
You're right in regards to the hard roof line, but I think the effect is going to be spoiled without the camo hiding the rear window. |

The FX comes close, but that sloping roofline of the X6 is just way too aggressive for a SUV. And it looks damn good. |
