2010 X6M Bluetooth Streaming?
Hi All - me again.
Does anyone have any experience getting Bluetooth to stream music? I have the integrated Bluetooth for my phone calls, but I'd really like to stream music via Bluetooth as well. I read online about the Combox - but that is $1,000. I'm hoping for a much less expensive option? Thoughts? |

I'm not sure because I don't have it. I was hoping to find a way to stream without needing to spend all of that money. You would think on a $90K+ car - it would come with it!

The 2010 X6M has no streaming capabilities unless you spend that $1000+. Real bummer.
I just use the plug and let the iPhone sit on the arm rest. It's a real disappointment. |

My friend had 2008 M3 which of course, didn't have bluetooth steaming.
But he had aftermarket thing attached on the USB and streamed music. So I think there are some inexpensive (~$100) option for bluetooth streaming via USB. Maybe check out Crutchfield website?

Combox media is under $300 option. You can code it yourself and save $700. You will need to remove TCU and MULF modules and replace then with one Combox-media module. Then do a little coding to let your X6M know that there has been change made to your hardware. It is a very simple DIY retrofit

Where can I find the combox for that price, and can you help me get it coded? Are there instructions on how to install it and how to remove the other things you mentioned? I have zero clue what I'm doing here. lol -S |

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-CiC-Comb...72b621&vxp=mtr The rest is coding. Here are the steps: remove TCU and MULF from your Vehicle Order. Add Combox to the vehicle order. Recode: CIC, Combox and Kombi modules. You will also need a new harness for your Combox, since wires are not all in the same location as those for TCU. Pardon my newbieness but what else is needed for Pandora to stream to my 2010? I have Bluetooth for phone calls, just no music.
Besides combox for $340 via ebay, do I need any of the following from bimmertech's website? What is a 6NR and do I need it? |

Your best bet is to call bimmertech and get a quote for everything you need. They will tell you what is required.

Or you can just purchase this:
http://www.amazon.com/ViseeO-WMA1000.../dp/B00B52LLJ6 And stream everything from your phone in your pocket and control the music via the steering controls and view what's playing on your screen. Total cost:$100 |

I have it in both my X5 and 335 and it works great! Cheapest and best alternative. Just make sure you have the BMW OEM USB/audio cable. Should be able to find it on eBay for fairly cheap.

Is it compatible with iPhone 5s? Saw reviews the viseeo tune2air is compatible up to iPhone 5 only. Also would the iPhone work normally like answer calls and dialing calls while it is streaming from the same iPhone. I thought bluetooth can only connect to one thing only?
