Replacing front rotors and pads on X6M

Planning to replace both front rotors and brake pads this weekend (DIY) on my X6M. Can someone please point to a diagram on how to disassemble X6M calipers and rotors. I have replaced X5 and X6 brakes many times, very simple and straight forward procedure. However, my front X6M calipers and pads look completely different from X5 and X6 once. Any help or link to a DIY would be greatly appreciated

What are you putting on OEM parts or aftermarket?

Genuine BMW original oem rotors and pads: 34116799964, 34116789069 (left rotor), 34116789070 (right rotor). I already learned a lesson once before, will never use any aftermarket components on my BMW

Anyone knows how to remove the two guiding pins from brake caliper in order to swap out old pads with new ???

I haven't done the X6M, but on my e70 remove the dust cap on the bolt and use a 7mm hex socket to loosen counterclockwise. Might have to give it a shot of penetrating oil to free up the bolt. Don't forget to compress the pistons before removing the guide pin.

Thank you, denaliman. I have also done it many times on X5 and also on X6. X6M front brake calipers are Brembo and they are completely different from X5 and X6 front brake calipers. There are two guiding pins that I just have no idea how to remove. They must be removed in order to swap out old pads with new, but how ???

I think you have to tap the pins out with a nail punch or the like. I know on my wife's Audi the brembo's were like that.

Thank you for the reply; however, that's not going to help much. In this DIY instructions and pictures, showing cotter pins holding the guiding pins in place. On Brembo M4.42 BMW brake calipers there are no cotter pins holding anything. Usually I an good at reverse engineering things, but this one is just a mystery. BMW have really worked on this one, so that you cannot DIY

I think there is a pressure spring/clip holding them in place by tension.

I removed those pins on my car (X5M) and they come off just like in that video. It's not that difficult.

I will try to just knock them out with hammer. Interesting thing is that end of the guide pin which needs to be hammered on is a sharp point, rather than a flat surface. This is what threw me off

I tried to remove the clip to free up both of the guide pins and they are still not moving out freely. I will try to hammer them out tomorrow. Thank you very much for all your feedback, links and video. Greatly appreciated. I tried to Google X5M and X6M front brake calipers and all I could find was for sale

Got my front brake pads and rotors replaced on my X6M (Brembo). Thank you all for your replies. As was suggested, I tapped on the guiding pin from one end with hammer and it came right our of the caliper. The rest was self explanatory ...
