X6 35i Dinan tune bricked my car
I took my 2013 X6 in for a Dinan stage 2 tune today. I was looking forward to the extra power. Even though I have the M performance package the power gains were going to be good.
Unfortunately there were compatibility issues and the tune wouldn't load and it won't go back to stock. The shop has been good about trying to get it to work but at this point I don't have a running car. They can't get it back to stock. Seriously bummed. |

Did you go through a BMW dealership as your installer? A BMW dealer that is also a Dinan reseller should have pretty good success in resolving those issues. Sorry to hear about the problem. I had all the Dinan work performed by my BMW dealer's service department and have had no problems. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.

Man that sucks! Hope the installer can set things right, or in the worst case scenario, that between BMW and Dinan one of them will make sure you don't have any more headaches over this.
If your car happens to be getting worked on at the Mountain View Dinan office and need a drink to ease the pain, PM me and I'll buy a round. |

I should have my car back today. I was the lucky first 2013 car and some bugs were found. Both the shop that did the work and Dinan have been great about. It is going to take Dinan another week or so to get the tune working but it will work for all 2013 cars.

I did notice a big difference in the torque, but saying that I haven't really hammered on it yet as it I only bought the x6 on monday. I need to get some miles on it for the basic break-in. I have the dinan stage 2 on my 2012 335is and it was a massive change I loved it. But you can't get the same numbers out of the N55 engine as the N54 could.

Any updated on the difference in performance after you break-in the X6? What are the numbers of Dinan stage 2 on the M-perfoamance package X6? Is there any difference?
Thanks |
