Froyo still is 35.3% of the Android market and just ignoring it is going to piss off users. A lot of users don't even know what version they are running Source: http://developer.android.com/resourc...-versions.html You should be able to easily find the correct APIs required. http://android-developers.blogspot.c...r-android.html |

Not sure what to tell you, according to Market it should now be working for the Captivate (SGH-i897), hopefully anyone else with the same phone can chime in if they are having the same problem...

Hi Mark
I downloaded the beta app today from the marketplace and wanted to give my feedback. First off I am using: HTC Droid Incredible (the first one released) running Gingerbread 2.3.4 (All Stock) using Verizon First the app downloaded fine, asked me to restart my phone, played with the app, everything fine for 30 mins. The pages on the main page were sticky with scrolling but got better once inside the forum pages. But after 30 mins of using the screen went black, had to hit my home button to get back to my homescreen, then tried to re-open the app and still get a black screen. So I re-booted my phone, went back to open the app and still getting a black screen after I open the app. So I removed the app. Weird cause it worked fine for 30 mins. I know it' a beta so I look forward to using it again once the beta is complete. I do want to say that once you get to the forum page, you really should re-design that page because the button at the bottom that says reload take up about 1/4 black bar of dead space that takes away from your display, maybe make that a button a hide away option? Maybe this will be fixed after beta is complete. I just like as much real estate as I can get on my 3.7" display. Just some helpful feedback on the new beta app. When it's complete let us know at the top of the forum and I will download it again. |

I'm sure in time you will be able to support further more Android versions. |

Downloaded and installed successfully on my HTC Thunderbolt running 2.3.4. Avatar and embedded pics are visible, but I cant get any attached photos. The pics on the News screen dont come up either, but it could be my shotty connection at work. Overall, great work and keep it up!! We all appreciate it.

Only had 1 issue so far. Sometimes when I click a link to a page, for example, the Fifth Gear review of the 6 series, it takes me straight to Youtube after a few seconds.

It runs great on my Xperia Mini Pro.
That said, pinch-zoom or font control would be welcome for us folks with smaller phones. THANKS very much for putting this together. |

So far looks like a great app but I still sometimes prefer to go to the website to check any notifications that I may have missed. I kindly ask for this in the next reiteration. There are as well certain reliability issues.

Unfortunately the time stamps on the forums are not set to the same timezone as in my user preferences.
This makes checking the time of the last post etc confusing and makes me read the same thread with no new posts over and over again. Does anybody else have the same issue? |
