✪ Alekshop Built | 2013 X5M - Akrapovic - ESS - Vorsteiner - Dinan
Before the winter starts in California, our customer wanted to make sure his car is ready to slice the windy roads in the mountains
So here we got right of the dealer lot 2013 X5M. The car is absolutely amazing and on my "To Buy" list hehe ... Here is what we did:
Installing LI Quad System Installing V1 System Installing Dinan Kit Installing Vorsteiner Front Lip Installing Akrapovic Evolution And the Most Important step - ESS Tune The X5M turned out to be a monster after all was done ... The ESS Tune and Akrapovic Exhaust awakened the TT V8 and gave it a breath of a fresh air Thanks for looking, Aleks. |

That is one clean X5M, I hope to see it on one of my trips to Tahoe!

KWs are great but if you want to keep EDC Dinan is the best bet ... The car handles very very well ... the ride quality didn't get worse but it feels a bit stiffer in a nice way

There are a few places to get the "stealth mirror" in the USA. There are some DIY as well. They can also take the OEM BMW mirror and etch it as well for integration with the V1.

From the pic it appeared that the heads were not level and set to far back thus obstructing receiver view and would cause deflection errors. Also, could not tell the heads are the vertical aligned diodes. I assume these are the newer version 8.9? I do realize there are limited areas to mount on the X5. I am sure you guys know what you are doing and Cliff at LI is great at instructions. Looks great. Will you be running any test on the Li's? Would be interested to see how they perform with that configuration especially against the high freq. truspeeds.

We didn't have time to test LIs as the car was finished at 9pm and picked up at 5am. This was the best place to place LIs on this car. It would've been much easier to mount them in the lower grill and not to deal with finding a way to run the cables inside the hood (since the grilles are part of the hood) but this is most appropriate place to install LIs. The rear heads are mounted horizontally (a different LI kit that is intended for horisontal placement). |
