09 Deal, what am I missing?
I found a pretty killer deal on an 09 BS/Black XDrive 5.0. I am just worried I would be missing out on a lot with the 2010 model year coming?
Is the only change iDrive, and that said how is the old system? is it the same as my 330?

I think the only big changes in 10 model was how they did some of the packages, not sure idrive is going to make in it, lot of folks say yes, lot say no. I haven't seen anything from BMW on that.
I have said in many of my other posts there is no way I would pass up getting and driving an X6 50i because it didn't have the latest idrive, they are some folks here that are just possessed (IMHO) about wizz bang computer graphics. my post should get others to weigh in... |

I have my 2010 X6 on order for October production. My dealer confirmed that there're not alot of new additions to the 2010 model except for new iDrive controller and the Drive logic including the hard drive and USB port. Also, the backview camera with top view (a small camera underneath each side mirror).
As far as the M-sport package, it's gonna be available with only 2 exterior colors (white & Silver) and only one interior color (Black). Also comes with 20″ black wheels, black painted mirror caps, tailpipes with black color accents. |

There is one dealer in the hole US that has a X6 on order (production has started on it). no other dealers have a X6 available to order or in any other status.

Mine also xDrive50i Titanium Silver, fully loaded except for heads-up display. I got interested in the M-Sport package, but the problem is that it's only limited to one interior color (Black) and two exterior colors. Plus, the package comes with black wheels and black painted side mirror caps, which doesn't suit my taste. Although, I'm really interested in the extra power, I don't like to be pushed to certain colors or options when I'm already paying extra money. I don't understand why BMW are limiting customer's choices. Porsche, for example, gives you the choice to choose minor details such as your seatbelt color on their entry models. I think it's not a smart marketing move from BMW. Last edited by XBMW6; 08-12-2009 at 08:30 AM.. |

Good question. I think it was a left over 09 order that was pushed back to 2010. or a buyback or lemon. BMWUSA needs to replace quick. I dont know

illogical marketing?
Does anyone know WHY BMW makes the M sport pkg. available in only 2 exterior colors?? When x6 M is available in 7? Is there a shortage of auto paint pigments?
Is BMW shooting itself in the foot by chasing buyers away to Porsche, by this marketing blunder? Someone paying $100,000+/- for a car in this economy cannot have their choice of colors! Henry Fords' model T was the only game in the country, but x6 is not! Last edited by archwerks; 08-23-2009 at 11:56 PM.. |
