Really cool link thanks.
Was able to see the cataloge here: http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...ue/index2.html But when I tried to download it I think BMW's website has a broken link. |

Looks like the functions on the Idrive screen are new.At least a diferent layout.
Anyone know if there is an update for current cars to bring it inline with the new system shown? |

The X5 and X6 ///M models come with the new iDrive (found on new 7er, 09 3er and 1er). The 2010 X5 will come with it too, and I THINK the 2010 X6 has the same as well.

The DCT that BMW has licensed can't handle the torque from the TTV8. Perhaps by the time the new M5 comes out (probably with a TTV8), they'll have a new DCT so that the M5 wouldn't need to use a Steptronic.

Are you talking about the X6 M or the MX-6? I'm just asking because I don't think BMW ever owned AMC.

that AMC is just a lifted coupe p.o.s. the X6 has way more of an SUV-type feel to it, just look at the pics. the difference is clear. it looks amazing!

I don't agree at all with atlanta2004m3's derogatory comments made against the X6, but the Eagle came out in 1979 (1980 model) and the Audi Quattro wasn't even shown until 1980 Geneva Motor Show. It just suffered from being US made, poorly executed, etc., but in truth, the AMC Eagle was the great-grand daddy of the SUV, SAC, or whatever. |

To each their own. I love my X6 and also love the fact that with a simple software tune the X6 M will be spanking your M3!

Gee, let me see here. . . using something as general as the number of doors as the final deciding factor, one could say you M3 as a lot in common with the blimp - they're both German. And, I'm sure the Zeppelin had only two doors, so one could say it was a coupe. But I heard it's terrible in the hairpins.
