Hi all,

Just want to know if anyone knows what the diameter of the stock pipe size is so i can order the proper size inlet. Thanks.

I am also interested in doing this... My chrome ones were filthy but I found a quick and easy way to clean them. Don't laugh but use Coke and tinfoil. You will be shocked with how much of the carbine comes off.

Please reply if you figure out a good carbine tip option!
Cheers

The inlet starts out at 65mm (Inside diameter (ID))...starts tapering to 55mm (ID) after 25mm in depth...so looking at Akrapovich type knock-offs is quite the challenge...if you come up with a solution...that either goes over the chrome tips...or replaces them...I'm in....

Did you ever complete this project....?

With time on my hands...and the weather getting nicer...I'm about to give removal of existing OEM tips ago...

Then take it from there...

Interested to know if tips can be pulled off. On the x5m there is a punched dimple fixing each tip to the exhaust pipe...or at least so it seems. You should be able to drill it out and then remove?
