What kind of deals on the outgoing X5?
Hi,
I've seen people post about great deals they've gotten for new E70 X5's. I have e-mailed dealerships (through Autotrader and Cars.com) about specific X5's I'm interested in, and they will not budge on the price. With the F15 X5 out, I'm not sure why some people won't budge. If anyone could, could you please give me an example of how much I should be expecting to get discounted? I've seen people mention they've gotten 10k or more off the MSRP. Should I also shoot for Certified Pre-Owned? 100,000 mile warranty sounds good to me. What kind of discounts should I expect there? Thanks for any help! |

I think they will budge, but perhaps your tactics are off. You might have more negotiating leverage when you are at the dealership and you are discussing the X5 in person. Remember also that a vehicle with more options will have more margin built into it vs. a base X5.
Why not look at a lightly used X5? |

I'm not in US, so not sure about their pricing structure, but in canada, the BMW dealerships gets at least 15000 reimbursement from BMW canada when they sell their E70 inventory.

Just for interest on a price I mail a local dealer. It was 13 X5 5.0
price was 75+. They were knocking a thousand off. Well if more interested such could have gotten some back and forth going. BMW does not work like the gm brand where they knock 10's of thousands off |

Any updates on discounts that you have seen?
I saw a 2013 X5 diesel with 8,000 miles (exec demo) with the following options: premium, cold weather, running boards, satellite radio, BMW apps Quoted slightly under $49k. A brand new one (less the BMW apps, which I don't have a preference one way or another) is slightly under $52k. Also a diesel. Same exterior and interior colors for both. What do you guys think? What other discounts are you seeing? Models and options please. |

Got 10K Off:
past Friday, I drove from Oklahoma City to Wichita, KS. Bought 2013 X5 Premium, list 64517.00 for 54517.00. Vehicle was orion silver with beige contour 20 way seats. Had 600 miles on it. Love it so far. My local BMW store had no 2013's left except a 108K M and some 13000 mile service loaners that they were going to discount 5500 (LOL) Found some X5's in Wichita Falls, TX that were discounted around 7K. Good luck...... |
