Blower not working for heat

I have a 2009 X6 3.0L with 108K miles that I've owned since 2015.

Today the blower motor is not working for heat. The blower does work for defrost.

Did some research and two possibilities came up.

1) Final Stage Resistor

2) Weak battery. The Intelligent Battery Sensor restricts HVAC fan speed to save power when the battery is low.

I replaced the battery in 2017.

The X6 sits for about 8 months of the year, as I have other vehicles. My daily driving are short distances; 10 miles one way or less once a day.

Thoughts? Has anyone else had a similar situation with their BMW?

The possible cause is the heater control valve right behind the engine, mounted on the firewall.

I also have a similar problem, the heater only blows warm air. Any ideas?
