BMW sedan performs worst in crash test
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070816/...h_tests_sedans
Damn... at least it wasn't a 3 series but I don't know if that makes it any better |

I read that, but recall the BMW representative had a very good point. BMW does 12 crash tests per car as well as computer simulations. This crash test was based on one test one day on one car. Results will vary depending on the position of the crash test dummy, the seat, the sled, etc. The dummy was hit by a part of the arm rest.

I agree. Albeit one in perhaps 13 or "x" number of total tests that was not favorable, I would hope that it is taken seriously. Maybe BMW will rethink the way it arm rest or torso side air bags are designed.

So if the seat is in a certain place it preforms worst? Worst is as bad as it gets. I wouldn't want a car that supposedly preforms very well unless the seat is in a certain position when I wouldn't even know what that position was.
