I went from a 2013 E71 M to a 2016 F16 50i and hated it. The steering was loose, and the ride was floaty even in sport. I felt like I was all over the road. The curvy entrance ramps I used to love just weren't the same.
I previously had a 2010 E71 50i and the only difference between the M and the 50i was the HP. I opted for the 2016 50i because of something I didn't want was that was standard in the M.
In my opinion, It seems BMW watered down the driving experience to cater to the masses.
