I have the same O/S and browser (my twin! haha) and don't have that prb (knock wood). Something's off.
I suspect those damn Chrome updates (I've had like 3 in 2 weeks? something ridiculous like that) aren't for 'security' but they're just trying to circumvent uBlock/etc. Screw them and their lousy ads.
