Dropping the cats from your exhaust line-up will increase all of these, possibly causing your vehicle to fail to comply with local regulations for emissions.

Is your emission testing criteria based purely on whether your vehicle is throwing a code at the time of inspection or do they actually test content of exhaust gases?
Im no expert but they check codes in NC and I assume if one of the downstream o2 is triggered either by code or not in ready status, it fails.

This happened on my Raptor when I had tuned it and it turned off the downstream o2 for a more aggressive fuel mapping. And happened on my e46 when the MAF sensor was faulty and triggered a CEL it would fail state inspection.

So ultimately, how are all the modders here doing catless pipes and passing emissions inspections?
