335Ds only have 1 egr cooler (mani-intake) X5s have the additional EGR from DP-low pressure turbo and it has an wavy flex section so it's the obvious suspect right now. It has to be it, we will know shortly!
The intake is very sturdy and dampened with rubber or silicone at every contact point.

Sounds good. My DP had a lower egr block plate to bolt to luckily. Time to put in a strut tower bar now that you made room in the right places
