So from the factory for the E70/71, there is the "m-sport" ZMP package that was available on the 35i/50i. It was an actual performance upgrade. It includes special wheels, adaptive drive (must have), M-sport package, Sport Seats, M steering wheel, exterior trim, m body parts and increased top speed.
There was also the X5/6M which has a 555hp S63 engine, and body package. That was the 1st M SAV from BMW. The biggest visual difference is that M's have a quad exhaust.
