External GPS Receiver for NBT EVO
Bimmer Retrofit is pleased to announce that we now offer External GPS Receiver for NBT EVO head units which do not have built-in GPS receivers.
Why?
Some NBT EVO units do not have GPS built-in (no blue connector in the back). These units cannot be used for NBT EVO retrofits when GPS positioning is required. These NBT Evo units are designed to work with an external module (called ATM), which provides GPS positioning to the NBT EVO head unit. Bimmer Retrofit designed and developed an external GPS receiver, which does just that and can be used instead of the original ATM module for GPS positioning.
Our External GPS Receiver is carefully designed to acquire quick and accurate GPS positioning to allow comfortable and convenient use of maps with NBT EVO retrofits in both E-series and F-series BMWs.
How?
There are two variations of the product and both can be used for NBT EVO retrofits in E-series BMWs. Only Option 1 can be used in F-series BMWs.
Option 1: Stand-alone External GPS Receiver (with Navigation/Voice/VIM activation option)
E-series BMW
This External GPS Receiver can be used in conjunction with any one of our eNBT Retrofit Adapters.
In this configuration your existing eNBT Retrofit Adapter should be installed together with the External GPS Receiver, and each device will perform it's unique function and will work together to give seamless integration of NBT EVO retrofit in E-series BMWs.
F-series BMW
This External GPS Receiver can also be used with NBT EVO retrofits in F-series BMWs. Navigation, voice and video in motion options can be enabled if required.

Option 2: eNBT Retrofit Adapter with built-in GPS receiver
This is our classic eNBT Retrofit Adapter PNP (Basic version) with a “twist”.
In additional to all the standard features and functions of the classic eNBT Retrofit Adapter PNP (Basic version), this version of eNBT Retrofit Adapter also has built-in GPS receiver designed specifically for NBT EVO installations in E-series BMWs. This eNBT Retrofit Adapter with GPS built-in allows installation of rear-view camera with static guide lines or no guide lines.
If you plan to retrofit NBT EVO without built-in GPS receiver into your E series BMW this eNBT Retrofit Adapter is for you.
Our eNBT Retrofit Adapter with built-in GPS for NBT EVO supports all E series including E39, E46, E53, as well as mainstream line E6x, E7x, E8x and E9x series.
