Well. Her remanuf engine may be perfectly fine for another +50k miles. Mine has that many miles on it and has only needed spark plugs, filters, normal maint.
I'd certainly take a free(cpo) engine right now, considering I love the vehicle. I do see their point about not warranty-ing something past the original warranty period.
