After first few emails it's crickets. You can remap, but not to OEM.
You motivated me to retry my carplay module. I connected to wifi, made some google play updates, download waze carpool, and I noticed sound settings had a different level menu...so increased volume. Then I plugged in carplay. Amazingly working well such that I could listen to oem satellite at same time I was in CarPlay. The sound setting levels menu changed, but volume was same in oem vs monitor. Still get static when it reads texts. Will play with it this week to see if it holds. Also remapped NAV button to carplay.
Hadn't tried carplay in over a year
